HEAVY METAL MUSIC IS BEING USED TO ATTRACT SHARKS IN AUSTRALIA

It’s because sharks can sense music’s low-frequency vibrations – they resemble the sounds of struggling fish.
Who knew Great Whites had a soft spot for Morbid Angel? A Discovery channel film crew have been searching for a giant shark in Australia known as ‘Joan of Shark’ (good one!) and to get her attention, they blasted death metal into the water.
Why death metal, you’re asking, right? It’s because sharks can sense music’s low-frequency vibrations – they resemble the sounds of struggling fish. AC/DC also works, they found back in 2011. The shark this crew is trying to attract is a big one – more than 16 feet long and weighing (they think) up to 1.8 tons.
