Jennifer Lawrence covers Vanity Fair's March issue, and in a striking snap from the feature, she's seen lying naked with a boa constrictor set across her body.
The magazine shared the photo on Instagram and revealed the story behind the picture, which was taken by photographer Patrick Demarchelier as a nod to Richard Avedon's 1981 Vogue portrait of Nastassja Kinski. Apparently Jennifer was "very brave and nonchalant" about the whole snake-lying-on-her-body thing, only growing uncomfortable when the Colombian red-tailed boa constrictor "took a fancy to her neck." Check out the must-see snap, then read a few quotes from Jennifer Lawrence's interview with Vanity Fair, which you can read in full in the March issue.
